The armpit is one of the parts of the body where toxins are excreted. Using chemicals either to mask underarm odor or to prevent sweating is unhealthy and may cause illness, even cancer. As one online article says:
xxx [A]ntiperspirants are designed to be absorbed. The aluminum and many other chemicals are taken into the body and into the blood, eventually affecting everything, especially the endocrine and lymphatic systems, causing various health issues like Cancer and Alzheimer’s disease, that may not even seem related. (taken from this website)
ONO DeoCream does NOT contain aluminum, triclosan, propylene glycol, parabens, talc, silica, or steareth-n, or any of the ingredients that are known to be hazardous to the body. It is therefore a healthier alternative to the commercial deodorant and anti-perspirant brands in the market.
How To Use
Our product comes in cream form, and it is not meant to be absorbed by the body. It therefore means that, at the end of the day, the cream you applied to your underarm remains unless you deliberately wash it off with soap and water. It is advised that in the morning, prior to application of a new layer of cream, and at night prior to going to bed, the underarms be washed carefully to make sure that any cream residue is removed. Any accumulation of cream residue on the underarm is a potential repository of bacteria and will itself be the source of bad odor.
Deodorant, Not Antiperspirant
ONO DeoCream will fight underarm and body odor, but it will not prevent you from perspiring. Why? Because our product is not designed to prevent sweating. Sweating has a purpose. Our body is designed to sweat as part of our metabolic process, and it is the body’s way of excreting toxins. It is unhealthy to suppress sweating because if the body cannot sweat, the toxins have no way of getting out. One online article explains this very simply:
xxx But why does our body sweat in the first place? Sweating occurs as one of the body’s prime efforts to detox. So, if we’re preventing the detox, where are we sending the toxins that our bodies are trying so hard to flush out? The answer is the lymph system, which is the bodies defense against infection. Cancer is also frequently spread throughout the body when cancerous cells break off from a tumor and travel to another location in the body through the lymph system. Basically, the lymph systems works by trapping the bad stuff and flushing it out frequently via our pits. When the glands in our armpits are blocked, our breasts are right there to take in the toxins. Antiperspirants have been linked to breast cancer. (taken from this website)
The Challenges of Shifting to an All-Natural Alternative
If you have never used an all-natural deodorant before, it may take a lot of getting-used-to to shift to an all-natural one. First of all, there is the sweating. If you were using an anti-perspirant before, you may find it uncomfortable to be sweating again.
Second, you may feel that the product is not working. If you find the product ineffective, kindly read the “How To Use” section above to make sure it is applied correctly. All-natural deodorants do not guarantee “effectiveness” in concrete terms because body odor is primarily caused by what we eat. As one website article says:
The real cause of armpit odour is the intentional excretion of horrible toxins that your body is trying to get rid of.
It as simple as: What comes out of your body reflects what you put in!!
The way to eliminate body odor, then, is not to mask it with unhealthful deodorant products containing toxic chemicals and derivatives of heavy metals like aluminum and propylene glycol, but rather to clean up your body from the inside out. In other words, if your armpits have a horrible raunchy smell, that’s an indication that your diet needs some adjusting. (taken from this website)
So, when the product does not seem to be working even if you are sure you are using it correctly, its ingredients are probably ineffective under the circumstances. You may need to find another all-natural alternative.
Potential Sensitivity to Beeswax
This product has beeswax. Beeswax itself does not cause any allergies or sensitivities. But propolis does to some people. Propolis is “bee glue” that gets mixed in the wax. Propolis can cause a rash. Not many people have this sensitivity to propolis, but if you are not sure, you may want to keenly observe your reaction to the product. Stop use if a rash develops.
The ONO All-Natural Guarantee
Like our other ONO products, this does not contain artificial fragrances, artificial colours, hardeners, or any other artificial additives. It is completely all-natural and is entirely handmade.
